Cell Phone Rage....

Why do people think it's necessary to talk on their cell phones while working out at the gym. Seriously... if you can't be away from your phone for an hour, then don't come in and work out next to me. Yesterday I had the "joy" (and that's my sarcastic tone) of hearing the life story of the girl next to me on the eliptical. Not only did she bother me so much I couldn't read my book, she also was talking so loud, my ipod on full blast wasn't enough to drown her out. Leave the phone in the car!!!

Lost and Found

Who loses their car in the Bronx? Well I did last night. Yankee stadium is under some major construction. Like we're talking a face lift...a whole new stadium being built right next door to the current one they are playing in. Well last night I went to the Yankee vs. Red Sox game and got there right around game time. Parking is a NIGHTMARE to say the least with all the construction. The old lots have been turned into the new stadium. People are parked on sidewalks and in tunnels. I have never seen anything like it. So I think I'm smart and drive up into the neighborhood near the stadium (and no we're not talking Mr. Roger's neighborhood.) I find a place on the street and park Joey! (that's the name of my car) It only took me a good half hour to find a place. So at this point I'm totally annoyed and power walk to the stadium. I had a few blocks to walk and decided to call my friend Tori to keep me company on the phone. I wasn't really paying attention to my surroundings.... so we can flash forward to after the game when I can't remember where Joey is parked? Walking in the Bronx at 11:30 at night is probably not the smartest thing to be doing, especially when the cop on the corner is looking at you puzzled and warning you not to be there. Thankfully the guy I was with stayed with me and helped me finally find my car. I won't even tell you how long it took. We walked up and down 3 streets 4 blocks up and 3 blocks over and still no Joey. I think he was just playing hide and seek. I knew I was parked on a one way street going away from the stadium and close to the expressway. After we walked passed our friend the cop (for the 3rd time) I figured out that I was one neighborhood off. Cut me some slack ALL the streets look the same out here. It was quite the adventure! I finally found Joey and he won the award for the best hiding place of the night!

Mike Bibby is my Homeboy!

Friday night I went to the Knicks game with a few of my friends. The Knicks were playing the Atlanta Hawks at that Garden. We had pretty good seats that Mckay had gotten from his boss and we sat on down to watch the game. The guy sitting next to me started up a conversation and the next thing I know he is whipping out VIP passes to meet the players after the game. He was friends with Mike Bibby and knows a lot of other people in the "industry." It turns out he is the nephew of the rapper Fat Joe and we talked the whole game. My friends and I walked down to the court afterwards to see the players. Mike Bibby walked on out and I took a picture with him, told him good game and that was that. It was a really cool night and we had a lot of fun at the game...even if the Knicks suck big time!!!

Spring has Sprung!

Today finally feels like Spring we even broke open the sand box! I love this time of year out here in Connecticut! There are so many flowers and beautiful trees everywhere. I find myself just driving around looking for places to take pictures. You would think I had never seen a flower in my life. I think it was about 70 degrees out today and this is how bad my mind works...I thought about laying out! It's been a long winter folks. I can hardly wait for summer :)

In the mind of a VERY smart 3 year old!

Yesterday Samantha was sitting with me on the couch watching Ellen after her nap like we do almost every day and we were listening to the opening monologue. She was talking about how she has had the song "Low" by Flo Rida in her head for the past week or so. First Sammie points out that "Hey Jennah, you have that song on your ipod" Then Ellen continues on with her monologue where she complains about songs being stuck in your head. Well Sammie turns up to me and says, "Hey that's weird!?!" and I ask her "what's weird?" She goes on to say, "That's weird that Ellen has a song stuck in her head. I explained to her that it really isn't that weird and as a matter of fact she (sammie) has songs stuck in her head all the time. I gave the example of her requesting to hear Celine Dion "Taking Chances" every time she gets into my car and singing it throughout the day. Well she looks back up to me and says "well that's still weird that Ellen has a song stuck in her head, because she's not suppose to sing, she's just suppose to talk!"

And I can't forget about little Matthew....he likes to dance with Ellen everyday!

Great Game!

I should be in bed right now but thanks to overtime and living on the East Coast, I just finished watching a great basketball game at midnight. You would think after living out here for 3 years I would have adjusted to the late night schedule of sports...but I haven't!
