Our Nations Capital

Last weekend I drove down to Washington DC to visit one of my best friends Millie. I always look forward to our weekends that we spend together out here on the East Coast. We did a lot of shopping, ate at some great restaurants and just caught up on life. We ate at one of Millie's favorite pizza places in Georgetown called 2 Amy's. It was so Yummy!

Next we went to the Pentagon Memorial which was just dedicated on September 11th. The glowing benches in the picture have the names of all the victims that were killed there.

I went to a game at the new Nationals stadium and saw them lose to the San Diego Padres. (The Nats weren't very good this season) I even witnessed a first in my life, the pitcher from the Padres hit a home run! Their new stadium is beautiful!

I saw Magan at church on Sunday and it was so good to see her. I think the last time I saw her is when she moved from Connecticut over a year ago. I love my little Meegs and it made me miss all my DH girls out here in CT!! Can we please plan a little reunion soon?? (Nat, Karyn, Jilly and Meegs) Maybe Megan will get sprayed by a skunk for old times sake! :)

Chicago

Last weekend I flew out to Chicago to see a friend and a Cubs game at Wrigley Field!! It was so awesome! The Stadium was unbelievable. For those of you who are unaware...I will sit in every baseball stadium in the Major Leagues before I die! With this little trip putting my 8th stadium on the board, a thought occurred to me...I better get to work! Not that I plan on dying any time soon, I just love baseball that much!
