Millie back for a visit!
Millie flew into town a few weeks ago for a little visit and her bridal shower! It is always so much fun hanging out with her. She came to work with me on Friday. Work that day consisted of going to Costco and a school carnival at the National Cathedral. Saturday was her bridal shower and then she "tried" to fly out on Sunday. Her flight was delayed, so she was able to stay a few extra days. I always love hanging out with my best friend/roommate! :) I miss her a lot out here in DC.

Baby LeDuc
These two are expecting a little one...FINALLY! After 3 years of marriage, they are making me an Aunt, again! I couldn't be more excited about this news! Congrats Ken and Bryan!!!

This is how they told my parents. Torey sent a picture from the mission and on the signs they are holding it says, "Kendall is pregnant!" (in English and Portuguese) My favorite is the little girl in the front who has more attitude than all the Ellis girls combined!

Best Friend in DC!
My best friend Brennan came out to visit me last month and it was so much fun to show her around my new home. I have known this girl since junior high and we have been the best of friends since high school. We always have so much fun when we are together and she even left little Ellie behind for four days, even though I wish she would have brought her in her suitcase.
We went up to Baltimore to see an Orioles game

In search of Obama

Shout out to my little brother who is serving his mission in Mozambique. My family loves everything Africa!

Weather change
I'm so glad it looks like this outside....

and it no longer looks like this!!

What a rough Winter we had out here in DC and I couldn't be happier to have "Snowmageddon" or "Snowpocalypse" behind us! I have never before experienced something so crazy, yet so beautiful, in my entire life. The grocery stores were out of food, the roads couldn't be driven on and we were snowed in two different weekends and a few days during the work week, with the various storms that came through. Keep up the warm sunshine and bring on the beach please! For now, I'll just enjoy the flowers!

Love these babies!
The Flat Tire
For those of you who know me, know that I am NOTORIOUS for pulling pranks and April Fool's jokes. Well this year, the joke was on me. I was heading out to do a little shopping with Millie, when a car pulled along side of us on the 210 to inform me that my tire was low. I had driven over something on the freeway, but didn't think much of it? I've only had one other flat tire and I for sure knew that it had happened. I pulled off the freeway, we were still in Glendora, and proceeded to a neighborhood that I was familiar with. Sure enough, it was flatter than flat. I decided that I was going to try and change this bad boy myself, but called home to inform the family of what had happened. While on the phone with my mom, I could hear my little sister Kendall in the background yelling, "don't believe her mom, it's April 1st." I had to assure my mom that I wasn't joking and that we REALLY did have a flat tire! My Uncle came down to help us, after I had gotten everything started for him! :) Of course we couldn't resist taking pictures! Samantha even got out of the car, snapping the camera!
