Welcome to Atlantic City!

I finally made it to Atlantic City! After living on the East Coast for five years, I made my way up to the New Jersey landmark and I can't believe I waited so long to do so. This place isn't Vegas, but all of my negative thoughts and what everyone had told me, were proved wrong when I finally was able to see it for myself. Yes of course Vegas is the big brother of all casino hot spots but little Atlantic City proved to be more than just the red headed step child!
Hayden decided way back in May that she wanted to take a little trip to Atlantic City because one of her favorite comedians was playing there, Mr. Jim Gaffigan. It was an awesome show and we had an amazing time...even if the craps table did have my number.

Going along with the first visit to AC, I had my first visit to Chick-fil-A...Yummy!

Road Trip! Boys in the back, girls in the front!

Getting ready to drive through a lot of farm land and corn!

This sign did not apply to me! At least I got a pretty necklace out of it!

Hayden's first funnel cake. She had to eat it in style.

Walking along the boardwalk, we spotted this gem!

Cowtown Rodeo. We saw this sign on our drive to Atlantic City and decided that we would stop on our way home and check it out. It was a blast!

It doesn't get much cuter than that! :)

4th of July Weekend!

4th of July weekend in DC was a great one!! How could you not have an amazing time when our Nation's Capital is center stage? I have been to DC a few other times for the 4th, but this was my very first actually being a resident of DC. It started off with a Nationals game on Friday night with Tim. It was a great night watching some good ol' baseball! Then for the actual 4th I had dinner over at Tim and Ryan's. We had a lot of food and Ryan even made a patriotic cake, whip cream, fruit and all. Tim and I like to call it the $50 cake! :) Then we went down to the Pentagon, laid out our blankets on the grass and waited for the fireworks to start over the Washington Monument! I love fireworks and the 4th of July! It was a beautiful night with great company! Then I wanted to drag out the weekend a little more and went down to the Jefferson and just hung out on the steps for an hour or so. I love this monument, it is my favorite one in DC and it had been awhile since I had last hung out with Thomas!
