Less than 2 weeks...UGHHH

Seriously?!?!?!....What am I going to do with myself when I can't see these two faces everyday??? In less than two weeks I will be home in California trying to occupy myself with distractions of nephews, sisters, parents, friends, baseball, beach, pool, trips etc. Pretty much anything you can think of so I don't miss my babies every single minute of every single day. It is all coming way too fast....

Citi Field

A couple of weeks ago Christine and I took Mckay to the Mets game for his birthday. It was actually a treat for all of us because we got to see the new home for the Mets. I have now seen both of the new stadiums in New York, the first being the Yanks and now the Mets. I think they are both so beautiful, but please all you have to do is stick me in ANY baseball stadium with some seeds and I'm a happy camper! Oh and yes I am sporting a Mets shirt and that is only because I don't have any deep rooted affiliation to a National League team, so why not "root root root" for the home team!?! The game went into extra innings and they ended up losing to the reigning champs the Phillies.

Such a cute trash can, I couldn't resist! :)

Meeting Mr. Met was the highlight of my night!

Actually scratch that...seeing this kid get busted by the "alcohol compliance" peeps was pretty dang funny!

Oh man these things are heaven!

We love our matching shirts!!!

oooohhh Canada!

Over Memorial weekend I went to the wonderful country of Canada for the first time! It was seriously one of my favorite trips ever. I went up to Quebec/Montreal with Christine and Mckay (my two BFF's out here in CT) Christine is from Canada and her parents were so sweet to let us crash at their house for the weekend. The road trip began on Thursday night with jokes and questions for Christine the whole time. Mckay and I got a kick out of asking her about everything in Canada and would act shocked that Canada actually was civilized enough to have anything there. It really never got old...at least to us! The weekend was spent taking lots and lots of pictures! No shock there! We also did a lot of eating, and yes I tried some new stuff...aren't you all so proud?!? Montreal was beautiful and I loved trying to speak French whenever I could. Pretty much the only thing I said all weekend long was "Arret"(which means Stop)& je m'appelle Jennah (my name is Jennah!) There were a few others, but those were definitely my favorites! The other highlight of the weekend was walking into the church where Celine Dion was married. It was gorgeous and I had fun pretending in my mind that I was actually a guest in attendance at the wedding! This weekend will go down as one of my most favorite things I've done so far while living out here on the East Coast!
Let the road trip begin!!!

Our last stop on American soil

We're sad to be leaving America...unsure of the unknown!

She's Canadian and she's saluting our flag!

Get your passport ready! We're almost to the border!

And so it begins....

Of course we had to stop and take pictures at the border!

First stop Friday morning....CREPES!!!

Olympic Stadium where the Expos used to play. Too bad Montreal doesn't have a team there anymore or I could have marked that stadium off my list. Can you believe they even play Baseball in Canada? :)I guess I'll have to take a trip to Toronto to see some Baseball!

Mckay had to represent his last name!

Walking down St. Catherine's Street

We see statues and in our minds we see a perfect photo opportunity!

This is me trying something new...Poutine. And what is not pictured is me NOT liking it.

They have postal service in Canada!

We went up to Mount-Royal to look over the whole city. We were up there for the sunset and pretty much spent an hour or so just people watching. There were some skateboarders that entertained us the whole time. We had to take some pictures by the Tulips! They are my favorite flower and I was so lucky they were in bloom up there because I missed a lot of the tulips in Connecticut this year because I was in California for their peak time.

They even have Raccoons in Canada!

St. Bruno...or as Mckay and I would refer to it as "Beethoven's 2nd" Don't even ask how we came up with it because it really is so random! :) But we had fun calling it that nonetheless!

Saturday morning we went into Old Town Montreal. I loved the streets and just everything about it. It reminded me a lot of Europe. We of course could not resist posing with some more random art throughout the city.

The Notre-Damn Basilica!! This is where Celine Dion was married and was the must see attraction on the trip! I can't even being to describe how beautiful this place was inside! I hope the pictures help a little.

After the Notre-Dame Basilica we walked around Old Town Montreal. The best thing I tasted on the whole trip was a "beaver tail" This piece of heaven was so delicious, I would eat it everyday if I could! Then we saw a crazy street performer and just took some pictures along the boardwalk. The weather was perfect and we had fun doing some more people watching.

Montreal is going green!

It really never got old! :)

After a Greek dinner, we went up to St. Joseph's Oratory. This place was unbelievable! The picture really doesn't do it justice. The stairs in front are where people kneel and pray on each step to be healed. Inside there is a place where people can hang their canes and crutches after they are heeled. It was pretty crazy.

They have Cheerios in Canada...who knew!!!???!!! :)

After attending the singles ward sacrament in Montreal, where the highlight of my day was meeting a really cute Elder, we drove by the temple to take some pictures!

After church and our little drive by the Temple, Christine and I went for a walk. She took me to this park by her house and we had fun playing there. Yes I know I am no longer 5, but parks are still fun!!! Christine got in a fight with the little animal spring thingy and flipped off the front. It was pretty much the funniest thing ever and when it kept playing through my head for the rest of the day, I couldn't stop laughing! Never a dull moment with us!

Then we needed to go back to the park after dinner to share this hidden gem with Mckay. Christine had yet another mishap...she jumped off the swing and ripped her shorts right up the side. I of course couldn't stop laughing...again!!

I always have so much fun with these two people and I am really going to miss them when I move.
